About
A pot that cracked in the first monsoon
Calivora Terrace is an online retailer based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, operating online as Calivora Terrace (calivoraterrace.shop).
How this started
Two large glazed pots bought for an Indore balcony, filled and watered, and a railing that was never rated to carry them. The photographs had been flattering. The specification, when we finally found it, gave no weight at all.
That is the whole problem with this category: the pots that last are dull and the pots that sell are photogenic. Nobody wants to be told the answer is the right depth, a drainage hole and somewhere out of the afternoon wind.
The pot is a small part of it. Where you put it is most of it.
Our commitment
Figures, or a plain ‘we do not know’
Where a maker does not publish a number — frost resistance and true wall thickness are the usual gaps — the listing says so rather than repeating a marketing line.
Placement notes that mean something
Every planter is listed with where it suits: full sun or shade, sheltered corner or open railing, and the drainage it ships with. The right pot in the right light beats a costlier one in the wrong corner.
No soil, no plants, no live goods
We stock planters, pots and stands only. Compost and living plants are not dispatched from here, so what arrives is the container and nothing that can wilt in a parcel.
Our story
The catalogue is deliberately small and skewed towards planters we can describe precisely, by outside diameter, depth, drainage and weight once filled, because those are the numbers a balcony actually depends on.
We are an online retailer, not a landscaping or balcony-fitting service, and we will say so when a job has gone past what a pot can solve. A railing that will not carry the load needs a person on site, not a parcel.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Calivora Terrace trades entirely online and ships across India from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
